Tenement

A small space to portray, express, and repurpose.

forgiveness

·

I can’t look you in the eyes,
Because truthfully,
I’d forgive you for anything,
And sometimes we shouldn’t forgive,
Everything

Watching skyscrapers run past the crescent moon,
Something magical is alive tonight,
As the lights pass by the windows,
Any moment we could plunge underground.

And this interlude doesn’t make me forget
That I can’t lie that I trust you.
It takes time, and I said it to you,
I don’t know how to just not know,
To pretend my eyes and ears don’t work.
Don’t abuse my forgiveness,
Please don’t.
